SALVATION

The Plan Of Salvation

Why do I need to be saved and from what do I need to be saved?
When God Created man, He put man in a perfect place and gave man a job and a wife to help him and be companion for man. God only gave man one restriction, he was not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge which was located in the midst of the garden. But Satan in the form of a serpent, tempted man’s wife, and she looked and eat, gave to her husband and he did eat. Adam had disobeyed God.

Adam and Eve knew that God would come down into the garden in the cool of the evening and talk with them, however this time, because they had disobeyed God, they hid among the trees. But God called out to Adam and Eve, asking” where are you”? They did not want to talk with GOD because they felt guilty and indeed they were.GOD must judge disobedience because HE cannot look at sin (disobedience in this case) and GOD did judge each one involved.
Eve – would have pain in child birth because she was in the transgression, and in bearing children in the future she would bring the one who would pay the price of disobedience. (Jesus)
Adam – Everyone descended from Adam is born with a sin (disobedient) nature and is therefore spiritually dead and separated from God.
Romans 3: 11 there is none that seeketh after God…
Satan – as a serpent was told that he would bruise the “seed” of the woman (Jesus) but the “seed” of the woman would crush Satan’s head.
The Seed – Jesus was the only “seed” who could “crush” Satan’s head by destroying the power of sin. For Jesus to fulfill this prophesy he had to be born sinless, without a sin (disobedient) nature. This was accomplished by the virgin birth, in which Jesus was born of Mary, but conceived by the Holy Spirit, and did not inherit an “Adamic” sin nature. Being both sinless and God he became the sacrifice which was sufficient to pay for the sin of Adam, and our sin.
We must understand that we are sinners form birth, it is our nature, and further we are without hope because no work which we can do will be able to earn us forgivness.

  • Romans 3: 23 For all have sinned, and come sort of the glory of God;
  • Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
    Remember again, death is separation from God.
  • Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death (separation) passed upon all men, for all have sinned:
    But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith, which we preach;
  • Romans 10: 9 – 13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

So by confessing the Lord Jesus as our savior, we are saved from GOD’s Wrath!
